Frank Pepe è nato a Maiori, nella Costiera Amalfitana, ma è stato poi costretto a lasciare il suo paese ed emigrare all’età di sedici anni, nel 1909, rappresentando l’immigrato italiano per eccellenza, senza soldi ma con una spiccata etica del lavoro. Uomo che ha poi trovato la sua fortuna fondando la “Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana” nel 1925. Questo marchio è diventato negli anni uno dei simboli della pizza oltre oceano, partendo del New Haeven in Connecticut. Grazie anche ad un management che negli ultimi anni ha lavorato molto bene, si sono susseguite una serie di aperture, tutte indovinate. L’impasto è fragrante e leggero e farcito con prodotti freschi. Frank Pepe was born in Maiori, on the Amalfi coast but was forced to leave his county and emigrate at the age of sixteen, in 1909, representing the Italian immigrant par excellence, without money but with a strong work ethic.
